CMTS Capabilities

CMTS provides project and construction management services in addition to engineering/ architectural design review for clients in both the public and private sectors.

CMTS was established in 1984 and since has adhered to the most rigorous professional standards in the industry.

The name CMTS carries a history of quality and integrity that has been the cornerstone of our success.

Project and Construction Management

Our objective in construction management is to translate and oversee the client's project through implementation in the most efficient, safe and economical manner. As construction managers, we coordinate with the owner’s representatives, design consultants, contractors and subcontractors, and the myriad of public agencies and community interest groups involved in all phases of a project. We administer the entire construction process and provide intensive on-site supervision, scheduling, safety, quality assurance, and cost control management.

One of our most effective tools for managing, tracking, and controlling complex and/or large projects is Critical Path Method (CPM) scheduling. With the aid of state-of-the-art tools, we forge a cost-loaded master project schedule that clearly identifies the relationship of the construction activities and denotes the responsible parties utilizing the work breakdown structure system. Our field staff then tracks the project on a daily basis, identifying critical issues that may cause delays or allow acceleration.

Quality Control and Assurance

CMTS maintains a large full-time corps of inspectors. We employ experts in all areas of building and civil construction, including structural, architectural, mechanical, electrical, and specialty construction. Their assignment is to supervise the implementation of a complete program to ensure the quality of the owner’s finished product in accordance with the contract documentation criteria.

Typically, this includes review and monitoring of the design, workmanship, and code and safety compliance in accordance with the project contract documents.

We utilize video and photographic technology to systematically document project progress, and these records are fully maintained to prevent or minimize any potential claims.

Our inspectors attend regular training sessions and keep current with technology through continuing education in their areas of expertise.

Our inspector’s certifications include ACI NICET ICC DSA and OSHPD

Forensic & Design Engineering

CMTS engineers solve system failure problems through field exploration, design analysis, laboratory testing, and detailed system analysis of failed components. Regarding forensic issues, CMTS employs the services of experts in every field of construction, from field technicians to university professors. This combination of available resources proves to be invaluable in the forensic examination process.

Our engineers have also provided expert testimony in dispute resolution of legal cases.

CMTS is committed to providing each client with quality professional services for design review from conceptual plans through final design drawings and specifications.
